What does gratitude have to do with fitness?
I’ll keep it short and sweet so you can get back to turkey trotting or parade watching or pre-bird snacking:
If you don’t appreciate the small steps toward your goals, you will never appreciate the big leaps. If you don’t appreciate what your body can do today, you won’t recognize the growth and success of tomorrow. If you don’t acknowledge your daily victories, you will never see your long-term results. There it is in a nutshell: tiny changes, big results.
I’m grateful for each of you who is reading this, who works out with me in real life or through our online workouts, and who is willing to even consider appreciating how far they have come rather than looking at the miles that remain. We will cover those miles in due time.
