Studio Update – February 4

We are 35 days into 2019 – tell me what goals you’ve reached! You should have a goal to reach weekly, no matter how tiny, that is working toward your overall goals.

The studio’s personal training schedule only has one hour open (!!), but we have lots of classes (check out our class schedule and sign in ASAP to save your spot) like:

  • HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) Cardio Monday 7pm, Friday 6:30pm – all levels are encouraged to attend this killer cardio blast
  • Kickboxing (1 hour, all levels) Wednesday 5:45pm SOLD OUT
  • Zumba (1 hour, all levels), Saturday 10am (already half full) – you don’t have to have any dance skill to come to Zumba, btw! I hear that all the time but like…really…do you think the 15 million people across 180 countries who do Zumba all have dance talent? Or coordination? Or anything other than a free hour to make their lives better and shinier?
  • Bootcamp Mashup, Saturday 8am – just for fun (and sweat), just this week, fhull of surprises…you won’t regret this class

The next recovery workshop is scheduled for 2/16 from 7-8:30pm – I would love to see you there! All levels are welcome – this class is for everybody. As always, pre-registration is required; class registration is locked 90 min before class. If for some reason we don’t have enough participants signed up, you’ll be notified of the class cancellation by text – so make sure your phone number is correct in your profile. (It’s also how we will contact you in the event of inclement weather.)

Other Fun

I updated the studio’s website (and the studio itself! but I’m not quite done with that) and by next week it will be much easier for you to use our (free) home workout videos. Two new YouTube videos about healthy eating – we’re talking about eating like a ballerina (if you think you’re too busy to eat healthy, here are all the answers spelled out for you), and I’m showing you what I buy at Trader Joe’s for a high-energy, plant-based, bodyfat-shedding meal plan (with lotssss of explanation… … .)

Live updates (and fun tips, giveaways, and of course workouts) are always posted to our class schedule, Facebook, and Instagram Stories.

Tune-Up Sessions, single one-hour training sessions with no consultation or commitment, are also available and can even be scheduled same-day if there are openings. These sessions are designed to answer your questions, whether you are looking for a total body workout that you can take home with you, wondering why your knee hurts when you squat, or wondering why you’re doing everything right and not getting results. Contact me to set up your session at any time.

Client Benefits

If you’ve already trained with me for at least 12 personal training sessions and you are currently training with me, you already know about the open gym times that are available to you and where to find the other details. Likewise, if you’re my current personal training client, you’ve gotten your password to access the online workout and recovery info.


On my list for the week – a few more studio and website upgrades, three of my own HIIT sessions, finding a new sauce or two for my power bowls, and finallllly posting a YouTube update on my recent progress and what exactly I’m doing to get there (spoiler – it’s basically the stuff I asked you to start doing at your training consultation, and the stuff I ask you to do in your training sessions).
