What will your Valentine to yourself be this week? My recommendation: take a look at that thing you struggle with about yourself…but from someone else’s point of view. Would someone who cares about you even notice that thing? You don’t have to write it a love letter or anything, but just look at it through someone else’s eyes for 10 seconds.
What’s on your list for the week? Lots of colorful fruits and veggies to give your body the nourishment it needs (yes, please)? Taking a few deep breaths? (Now’s a good time to pause and take 5 of them.) Listening to some new music? I’m doing all three and I’d love to know what you’re listening to (and watching, as long as it isn’t remotely scary.)
Goals, goals, goals.
I’m feeling great about mine – how are yours going? If you haven’t chatted with me recently in person, you might not know why I changed up the studio’s class schedule last year and this year. Last year, I took a gamble… …and made a class schedule based on what people said they wanted. This year, I switched it up and filled the schedule with classes that I know everyone needs. HIIT is the fastest way to change how your body manages energy (aka make your metabolism bullet-proof…and a little more cupcake-proof), Kickboxing and Zumba are awesome cardio workouts and total body toners (plus great for your mood and your brain), and Recovery is necessary for anyone who ever works out OR sits or stands at work. Combine two or three of those each week with a total body strength workout or two and you will be crushing your goals and feeling your best. So, have you signed in for class yet? (The schedule is right here!)- HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) Cardio Monday 7pm, Friday 6:30pm – all levels are encouraged to attend this killer cardio blast
- Kickboxing (1 hour, all levels) Wednesday 5:45pm SOLD OUT
- BONUS Kickboxing class (45 min, all levels) Wednesday 7pm – this class is not part of the series, so if you’ve been dying to come to class but haven’t been able to snag a spot, sign up now to punch, kick, and sweat with us!
- Zumba (1 hour, all levels), Saturday 10am
- Recovery Workshop (90 min), Saturday 7pm – if you have a mat you love, bring it! Ditto for a foam roller – not required, but if you have one, bring it along (this is the foam roller I love if you’re thinking of purchasing one of your own!). If you already received a ball at the first class, bring it, too! Let’s send those knots and aches to the curb and leave refreshed and relaxed.
Other Fun
As promised, I made it much easier for you to use our (free) home workout videos. I snacked Whole Foods style on YouTube…and I look forward to hearing your opinion. Live updates (and fun tips, giveaways, and of course workouts) are always posted to our class schedule, Facebook, and Instagram Stories. Tune-Up Sessions, single one-hour training sessions with no consultation or commitment, are also available and can even be scheduled same-day if there are openings. These sessions are designed to answer your questions, whether you are looking for a total body workout that you can take home with you, wondering why your knee hurts when you squat, or wondering why you’re doing everything right and not getting results. Contact me to set up your session at any time.Client Benefits
