How did you like last week’s real (or virtual) visit to our very own local Audubon Society spot?! Did you meet the challenge goal of walking a mile a day? This week we are headed somewhere more exotic….
Won’t you join me for the 5.3 mile loop of the World’s End Trail in Sri Lanka, a trail rated one of the top attractions in the whole country for its fauna, waterfall, and absolutely insane views? (Or, join this dude in the meantime for a full video of the experience?)
It looks a little different here than our flat, Texan vistas…
The actual “world’s end” at the park is a 4,000 foot cliff with a sheer drop. NOT the time to try your best cartoon anti-gravity strategies, and thankfully not anything I can send you to nearby.
For the challenge this week, I encourage you to try walking all 5.3 miles in one day! It will probably only take you about 90 minutes, and no, you won’t likely be sore. (You can always just try to cover the full distance throughout the week, though.)
I can’t wait for the world to re-open so we can immerse ourselves in scenery like this in realtime, but for now I hope this inspires you to get moving for your week. Let me know how it goes!
(If you’re ready to plan your trek to World’s End now, I found this blog recap very informative!)
