How did you do on last week’s 3.1 mile challenge? Did you go visit those semi-secret Memorial Park trails in person? I look forward to the new, improved versions!
Speaking of new and improved, let’s get a bit farther from home this week, and farther from the cold snap that may or may not be heading our way….
Did you guess that this tropical paradise is in the romantically-named Honeymoon Island, Florida?! Our country has such diverse landscapes…and their weekend forecast is in the 70s.
I challenge you this week to traverse this 2.5 mile trail – in spirit – in one single walk.
On their trail, you might see pelicans, osprey, egrets, turtles (and their nests), owls, and their resident bald eagle.
If you’re looking for some nature closer to home, don’t forget about the redone Buffalo Bayou trail…the part closest to the studio is often busy, but there are parts that are more secluded. There are plenty of turtles to be seen at Hermann Park, too!
Let me know how your 2.5 miles goes – and if you take a stroll through any of our nearby nature.
