Congrats to everyone who finished the February challenge SO strong! (Or, if you didn’t finish quite yet, who is wrapping up this week!) The most important part is to recognize all your progress – especially the tiny changes that we all like to ignore. Those are your progress!
So, what’s on deck for March?
This week’s reminder at the studio is to get in your cardio. I ask for a minimum of 90 minutes each week, as I’m sure you’re tired of hearing.
Our full-length online Zumba and Bootcamp video classes are so fun – so get ready to sweat with us! I am so glad you’ve been enjoying them (get them right here if you haven’t yet).
Which one of our group classes will you join this week?
- Saturday 9am Bootcamp (meets in the studio parking lot – sign in online and bring your mat)
- Sunday 9am Zumba (free, meets at Levy Park – 3801 Eastside)
- Monday 6:30pm Zumba (free, meets at Levy Park – 3801 Eastside)
- Wednesday 7pm Zumba at Jerabeck Athletic Center (class meets upstairs – enter via the main door and use the first staircase on your right)
Some links for the week…
- Social fitness. What do you think?
- I would rebalance the macros a bit here by swapping part of the rice for more veggies or tofu and adding another egg or some egg whites but – check out this rice bowl for an easy easy meal idea
- Did you know it is super easy to make and freeze your own protein pancakes? Start from a recipe like this one and swap half the flour for protein powder (each scoop is about 1/4 cup, so we’re just talking 2 scoops here). Will they be high protein? No, still carbs, but high-er, just like the ones from the store.
- A quick backgrounder on HIIT to refresh your facts and appreciate all the benefits your hard work brings you!
- I know I just linked my walking playlist last week but, seriously, my non-cardio folks: this 1-mile indoor walk has 7.5 million views. Just do it if you’re struggling to get moving!
It’s still beautiful enough walking weather outside to me for now but we know the heat is coming – if you don’t know how to sign up to come use the treadmill, let me know and we will make sure you know <3 xoxo
