Spring, though not technically here, sure FEELS like it’s here – and I’m ready for it! There are so many beautiful blooms in the studio’s neighborhood…great company for walks!
This week:
…the reminder at the studio is to add something to your week for recovery. I hope to upload a recovery class video soon (it will be available to all of my current training clients!), but in the meantime there are lots of great yoga videos on YouTube, and your recovery doesn’t HAVE to be stretching and mobility work. Maybe it’s a nap, or a gentle walk, or remembering to breathe for a while. Maybe it’s hydration, or actually taking your supplements if you’re into that.
A quick but important reminder: when you feel like your goals are far away or just not getting closer, focus on the tiny changes you ARE making. If you are making tiny changes every day – each time the opportunity presents itself, to the best of your ability – you ARE making real progress, I promise. We overwhelm ourselves so easily when we look only at the long view, and that’s demotivating…which usually means we give up on ourselves and STOP making the tiny changes. Today is the day when you can make progress, so make some!
