This week’s reminder at the studio is to get your cardio in (at least 90 min). Wondering why? Well…
- Movement improves the health of your gut microbiome, which means (among other things) improved insulin sensitivity…aka you have a little more flexibility about eating that third cookie
- Movement increases your chances of being in a good mood – immediately from the endorphin release, and longer term from better hormone regulation
- If you are looking to lose fat, it is important to create your (appropriately small!) deficit via both energy output and keeping your meals appropriately-sized…otherwise you’re lowering your metabolism by burning lean tissue and making it harder to lose fat 🙁
