Out like a lamb… – weekly studio update

This week’s reminder at the studio is to get your cardio in (at least 90 min). Wondering why? Well…

  1. Movement improves the health of your gut microbiome, which means (among other things) improved insulin sensitivity…aka you have a little more flexibility about eating that third cookie
  2. Movement increases your chances of being in a good mood – immediately from the endorphin release, and longer term from better hormone regulation
  3. If you are looking to lose fat, it is important to create your (appropriately small!) deficit via both energy output and keeping your meals appropriately-sized…otherwise you’re lowering your metabolism by burning lean tissue and making it harder to lose fat 🙁

  • Saturday 9am Bootcamp (meets in the studio parking lot – sign in online and bring your mat)
  • Sunday 9am Zumba (free, meets at Levy Park – 3801 Eastside)
  • Monday 6:30pm Zumba (free, meets at Levy Park – 3801 Eastside)
  • Wednesday 7pm Zumba at Jerabeck Athletic Center (class meets upstairs – enter via the main door and use the first staircase on your right)
