Wrapping up 2023 + Goals I Have for YOU for 2024

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

…right?

2023 is drawing to a close, so give yourself closure. This leg of the race is done. Empty your to-do list, and give yourself a fresh start for the new year.

Trust me – people need lots of fresh starts.

Before you careen into another year of losing those 10 stubborn pounds, combining Whole30 and 75 Hard for 105 wholehard, taking your couch to a 5k, and fitting into your jeans from 25 years ago, pause with me for the time it takes to finish this post.

Expand. Breathe. The world is yours for the taking.

Listen.

Not to me – listen to that inner voice that knows where you really want and need to go. That voice that still sounds when everything else is gone.

Let it win next year. Follow that path. Give yourself the approval you need.

Find peace. Be peace.

I’m a trainer. I love goals, most of all the goals you set for yourself. The goals that help you come alive and move with courage and strength.

Anyway.

If you want my input, here are some goals to try on for next year:

  1. Give yourself a bedtime routine.
Take the 30 minutes before you call it a day and let yourself wind down. Tidy your space, set your alarm, take a warm shower, read or listen to something nice and light, make a list of all those ideas and to-dos that are marching behind your eyes, and go to bed gently. My sleep is so much deeper and more refreshing on the nights I take the time to unwind.
  2. Walk.
Just walk. Walk to the store, walk for fun, walk for 5 minutes or a whole hour. Preferably outside, when you can. Your nervous system will thank you – which means better digestion, sounder sleep, a stronger core, and so many other incremental health improvements.
  3. Give yourself the 10 minutes a day to work toward your goals that I have long recommended. Five of those minutes will likely just be reviewing your plan and figuring out your next step – a great practice.

I am here for you! Whatever your goals are for next year, I’m ready to help you make them happen.
